Marine Product
Indonesia is the world’s biggest producer of tuna. Pole and line fishers use a fishing pole and bait to catch tuna, mostly skipjack and yellowfin. Pole and Line fishing is environmentally responsible and an excellent alternative to tuna longlining. Jepangsei Trading is supplier of raw tuna material to brands and processors around the globe, with options ranging from shelf stable to sashimi grade.
Raw Material :
Yellowfin
Yellowfin tuna is a fast-growing and highly productive species. Using many different fishing gears, yellowfin tuna are caught by local fishers (including artisanal and traditional coastal fishery fleets) and foreign licensed vessels. As food, yellowfin tuna is a very good source of low-fat protein and is low in sodium but has a moderate level of cholesterol. It is a very good source of thiamin, selenium, vitamin B6, and omega3s.
Bigeye
Bigeye tuna is one of the main targets for Indonesian tuna longline fishery in the Eastern Indian Ocean and one of the larger species. Both bigeye and yellowfin tuna have bright yellow dorsal fins, but bigeye can be distinguished by its plumper body, its larger head and its unusually large eyes. Bigeye tuna have a dark, metallic blue colouration on the top of their body, and are white on the underside, which provides camouflage in the ocean when hunting for prey.
Skipjack
The skipjack tuna is a medium sized fish in the tuna family. It is otherwise known as the balaya, cakalang, katsuo, arctic bonito, mushmouth, oceanic bonito, striped tuna, or victor fish. Skipjack tuna are found in tropical, subtropical, and warm temperate waters of all oceans.
Loins :
Raw Loins
International offers frozen skinless/boneless loins in excellent condition. Individually quick frozen or individually vacuumed packed. It is wild caught, using the hand lines and pole lines methods.
Cooked Loins
These loins are vacuum packed and frozen for export to our customers.
ULT Frozen
Ultra Low Temperature (ULT) or super frozen fish is handled at -60 degrees C and destined for premium sashimi markets. At this temperature, all cellular activity stops, halting any natural decomposition of the fish, and essentially stopping time. When the tuna is thawed, it returns to the properties of the exact moment it was frozen, bringing you an all natural tuna that tastes like it was just caught. Super freezing kills harmful parasites that is commonly present in fresh fish.
